NOTE: For each donated 100 Ron, we decrease the number of unit 800. But there are people who have donated more than that (300, 500, 1000 Ron, 200 Euros, etc..), so the number of persons / families who have donated is less than the units deducted from the figure 800.

The Denes Family story

Adrian and Cristina got married 13 years ago,  the fall of 1996. They have two kids together, Iulia, 11 and Andrei, 7. In 2002, by their own efforts they’ve managed to buy a land in Domnesti, a village near Bucharest. In 2004, Adrian, as a builder, started to build by himself a house for his family. In 2006, Adrian has been diagnosed with liver cancer and after almost 3 years of  struggling with the disease, the God he served called him home. Even if his belief was until the last minute that God will cure him, the divine plan was different. On the 1st of April 2009, Adrian went home, not at home in Domnesti, but at the home his Savior has prepared a place for him. Cristina, Iulia and Andrei live now in a temporary place from where they can be evacuated any moment.

Behind Adrian remaines the testimony of a devoted christian, his family (the wife and the 2 kids),  some unfinished walls, and us – relatives, friends, brothers in Christ, people he knew, people of  good faith, still alive mortals.

Nehemiah: Denes – Domnesti (NDD) Project

The main purpose of this project is to determine us to prove our faith by very concrete facts of faith, as apostle James says: Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress. We thought that after comforting the hearts of Cristina and her two children,  what they need the most right now is the completion of two rooms (ground floor) of the house started by Adrian at Domneşti.

Nehemiah built with vision and faith, within 52 days, the wall of Jerusalem that others have not succedeed to raise in 90 years. This project aims to mobilize  spiritual, human and financial resources needed for building the walls in Domnesti. Să adunăm rugăciune cu rugăciune, om cu om, cărămidă cu cărămidă, ban cu ban şi să finalizăm până în toamnă parterul casei.Let’s collect prayer by prayer, man by man, brick by brick, money by money to complete by this fall the groundfloor of this house.

NDD Project stages

The project will take place in four stages (between 15 June-15 November 2009):

– PHASE I – completion of ground floor walls, columns and concrete slab (wood beams, plank)

– PHASE II – loft structure (wood) and completion of the roof

– PHASE III – external finishing of the loft (OSB/insulation, polystyrene, rendering, painting) and ground floor (polystyrene, rendering, painting) and finishing the interior of the ground floor (2 rooms, hall, kitchen, bathroom)

– PHASE IV – Utilities (hydrophore, septic tank, central heating and radiators)

Required materials and estimated prices

PHASE I – ground floor structure

–  Brick – 20 m3 X 310 RON = 6 200 RON

– Sand – 2 lorries X 450 RON = 900 RON

– Cement – 2 pallets, X 700 RON = 1 400 RON

– Concrete – 5 m3 X 240 RON = 1 200 RON  – Beams, plank = 1 000 RON

– Windows, doors = 6 000 RON
TOTAL = 16 700 RON (approx. 4000 EUR)

STAGE II – loft structure (wood) + roof
– Structure labor – 86 m2 X 60 EUR/m2 = 21 672 RON (5 160 EUR) (5 160 EUR)
– Metal tiles for roof – 128 m2 X 30 RON/m2 = 3 840 RON (915 EUR) (915 EUR)
TOTAL = 25 512 RON (approx. EUR 6 075)

PHASE III – exterior finishings (ground floor and loft) and interior (ground floor)
– Exterior – 35 RON/m2 X 240 m2 = 8 400 RON
– Loft walls OSB
– Polystyrene, plaster, washable exterior paint
Inside
– Sanitary and electrical installation – 4 000 RON
– Finishings and bathroom items (sink, tub/bath, toilet) – 4 000 RON
– Kitchen finishings – 4 000 RON
– Rendering, painting in living room and bedroom – 4 000 RON
– Laminate floor – 1 000 RON
TOTAL = 25 400 RON (approx. EUR 6 000)

PHASE IV – Utilities (hydrophore, central heating, radiators, septic tank, fences)
